Trail Description

The road up to the ski hill is often closed during the off season by a gate at the bottom. It is the easiest way to get up to the upper trails like Valley View and Hunters Way. It has some good views along the way and with the gate closed is free of traffic. It is a 20 minute climb on a mountain bike.

Directions to Trail Head

From the traffic lights on Highway 93/95 at the Invermere junction, travel south for approximately 23 km. Turn left on Fairmont Resort Road and travel 1.7 km to the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort parking lot. Go to the front desk and ask for a hiking map of the area. The road starts going uphill east of the RV Park office.
