Trail Description

If you happen to be staying in the Farimont area, this trail offers spectacular views of Columbia Lake and the wetlands from Pop Bottle Ridge. From the ridge, continue on to Columbia Lake Provincial Park along an unmaintained trail. Steep descents and off-camber hills make this a challenging and fun single track excursion for mountain bikers or a great hike.

Directions to Trail Head

From the traffic lights on Highway 93/95 at the Invermere junction, travel south for approximately 23 km. Turn left on Fairmont Resort road and travel 1.7 km to the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort parking lot. Go to the front desk and ask for a hiking map of the area. The trail starts from the water pumphouse above the RV Park on the south side of Fairmont Creek. From the RV park, follow a gravel road uphill 200 m to the pumphouse where the road dead ends at the trailhead for Montezuma's Revenge and Columbia Lake trail.
