A 4.6 km round trip which is essentially a short walk through the forest. It is best enjoyed on a hot summer day, as this trail can provide some cool relief. The trail starts by crossing Sinclair Creek on a small footbridge. That’s followed by a slight elevation gain. It then parallels Redstreak Creek, crossing it at one point before reaching the base of Redstreak Mountain. This trail definitely ends with a whimper, not a bang, just a sign announcing that you have reached “Trail End.”
Set your odometer to zero at the traffic lights on Highway 93/95 at the Invermere junction. Head north 13 km to Radium. Turn right at the 4 way stop sign. Stop at the Park gates and buy a pass if necessary. Continue on Highway 93 into Kootenay National Park. At 19 km look for a small pull-out on the right.
Variable outdoor terrain
