Trail Description

Redstreak Campground Trail can be used as part of a pleasant loop with Juniper trail (see separate description), as a means to access the Sinclair Canyon Viewpoint just off the highway, or as an access from Radium Hot Springs Pools to the campground. From the hot pools the trail starts just past the open picnic area by the washrooms. It switchbacks up to the Silence Peace park – a serene location with benches amidst the Juniper trees – a great place to stop to appreciate the peace and quiet of the forest. The trail continues to contour up, reaching its uppermost elevation at the far end of the Redstreak campground. At a fork, follow this trail to the left to a wooden platform for a view of the valley. The right fork descends to the highway joining onto Juniper Trail.

Directions to Trail Head

Set your odometer to zero at the traffic lights on Highway 93/95 at the Invermere junction. Head north for 13 km to Radium. Turn right at the 4 way stop sign. Stop at the Park gates and buy a pass if necessary. There are several options for parking. At 14.4 km park on the left before you get to the Park gates. At 14.7 km, there is parking at the Park gates. There is also parking at the pools at 16.2 km on both sides of the road. You can also access the trail from the Redstreak Campground by turning right at the Tourism Information Centre in Radium and heading up the hill to the campground.
