Trail Description

A great loop hike located in Premier Lake Park. You can visit four lakes in 2-3 hours in an easy 8 km hike through pine, fir and larch forests. Each lake is unique and sparkles with a slightly different colour. At the first Y-junction take a right to find Cat’s Eye Lake located one km off the loop. Return to the loop trail. Travelling in a counter-clockwise direction will take you to Yankee Lake, Canuck Lake and Turtle Lake (keep your eye out for turtles at all lakes). This hike is great for families. There is also good fishing in all four lakes as well as Premier Lake.

Directions to Trail Head

From the traffic lights at the Invermere junction on highway 93/95, head south past Canal Flats. Just before Skookumchuk turn left at 74 km. Follow the signs to Premier Lake. At 75 km turn left at the Y-junction. At 82 km turn right at Wasa Sheep Creek Road. The trailhead is at 89 km at the Premier Lake Campground.
